History of the School

Agora International School Madrid was founded in 1981, when a group of families and education professionals decided to establish a new school that would response to the educational challenges of that time. The school continued to evolve and grow, adapting to a constantly changing global environment, and in 2006 Agora International School Madrid, became part of the highly-renowned NACE Schools Group.

Since 2006, our close collaboration with the NACE organisation has helped us to consolidate the outstanding education that we provide and enabled us to connect with an international network of more than 30 like-minded schools. Not only are we proud to adopt the high academic standards and clear educational vision of the NACE group but we are also able to tap in to the cultural, social and intellectual exchanges that being a member of such a group facilitates.

In 2015, Agora International School Madrid became an IB World School enabling our senior students to follow the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP). The IB is one of the most well-known and well-respected qualifications in the field of international education and is recognised as an entry qualification by the world’s leading universities. The Diploma course is designed to help our senior school students to acquire a breadth and depth of knowledge and understanding, whilst helping them to grow physically, intellectually, emotionally and ethically.
